JAMMU, Feb 24: Nowabad police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, a team from Nowabad police station during checking at JP Chowk arrested a man along with 38 pouches and 5 bottles of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Durga Prasad, son of late Surinder Singh, a resident of Calcutta.
A case under FIR Number 31/17 under Section 48-A has been registered at police station Nowabad and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nowabad Inspector Raghubir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of Incharge SDPO West Vivek Shekhar Sharma and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
