UDHAMPUR, July 8: A young man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at forest area in apper Harteryan in Udhampur, here today.
The deceased was identified as Sandal Singh (35), son of Prem Singh of apper Harteryan. Some locals spotted the body and immediately called the police, which shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem.
According to the locals, the deceased was working in a hotel at Katra.
Police has registered a case in this connection under section 174 of RPC for further investigation.
Meanwhile, in a road mishap, two boys were injured when the Scooty, they were riding, skidded off the road near Paine Bella Guest House Udhampur.
The injured were identified as Samrash (18), son of Rakesh and Mohit Kumar (18), son of Satish Kumar, both resident of Housing Colony Udhampur.
