RAMBAN, Aug 7: A man was today electrocuted to death at Pantihal nallah falling within the jurisdiction of police station Ramsoo.
According to a police spokesman, the deceased was identified as Sher Ali (30-35) son of Rehmat Ali, resident of Narainpur (Pathankot). He said that the man was electrocuted when he held an electric pole while he was going down a hill with SDRF team and local police to search the dead bodies of two of his relatives, who washed away on August 3 in Pantihal nallah after the truck in which they were going rolled down the road and plunges into the nullah”, the spokesman said.
He said due to electrocution Sher Ali died on the spot and after conducting post mortem at PHC Ramsoo, his body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. The police had registered a case in this connection, he added.
