UDHAMPUR, Feb 17: A middle aged man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance near his residence at Panchote in Chenani.
Police said that 52-year-old Sham Singh, son of Mansa Ram, resident of Panchote in Kud, Chenani, consumed some poisonous substance near his residence last night. The family members noticed him in serious condition and rushed him to Sub District Hospital Chenani where he died after some time.
Later, the body was sent for postmortem. The police after completion of all the formalities and postmortem handed over the body to family members.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be immediately ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.Man arrested for raping married woman.
