DODA, Dec 5: Police arrested a man along with illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Doda Police Station conducted a raid at a dhaba in Tondua area.
During raid, police apprehended one person along with 37 pouches of illicit liquor.
The arrested person has been identified as Mukesh Kumar, son of Puran Singh, a resident of Dharafda, tehsil Bhalla, district Doda.
A case under FIR Number 257/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Doda Inspector Manjeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed, Additional SP Doda Vinay Sharma and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
It is pertinent to mention that Doda Police has registered 65 FIRs in last nine months and recovered more than 2000 pouches of illicit liquor.
