JAMMU, Jan 30: RS Pura police arrested a person with Government ration, while the dealer managed to escape from the spot.
As per police sources, based on reliable information about black-marketing of government ration, a team from RS Pura police station conducted raid at a Government ration depot owned by Rita Devi, wife of Parduman Singh of village Korotana Kallan and arrested one person with approximately 2.5 quintals ration. The arrested person has been identified as Narayan Dutt, son of Dewan Chand.
The ration dealer managed to escape from the spot.
A case under FIR Number 16/17 under Section 3/7 Essential Commodities (EC) Act and 409 and 109 RPC has been registered at police station RS Pura and manhunt was launched to nab the ration dealer.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bhushan Manhas made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
