Srinagar, June 27: Police today arrested a man who was involved in creating a fake website of J&K Bank for some ulterior motives.
A Police spokesman said that Police Station Maisuma arrested a person who was involved in FIR No 14/2018 under Section 419 RPC, 66C Information Technology Act at Police Station Kothi Bagh.
He said the case was registered on March 11 this year, after a written complaint was received from Khursheed Muzafar, Chief Information Security Officer, J&K Bank.
“During the course of investigation, two persons Ilyas Ahmad Mir, a resident of Brazloo, Kulgam and Junaid Bashir, a resident of Dal Hassanyaar, Habba Kadal, Srinagar were found to be involved in creating a fake website of J&K Bank for some ulterior motives. One of the accused Junaid Bashir was arrested yesterday. Further investigation in the case is going on,” he said.
