JAMMU, Jan 5: Chairman Legislative Council Amrit Malhotra today visited Sabji Mandi in Moti Bazaar and took stock of the upgradation work of lanes, completed at a cost of Rs 10 lakh. For the purpose, the funds were released by the Chairman out of his Constituency Development Funds.
Talking to the people, Mr. Malhotra said that Government is committed to provide all improved basic needs to the people apart from upgrading such existing facilities. He said the developmental plans being implemented by the Coalition Government have transformed the outlook of Jammu city.
He said efforts are on to improve the civic facilities in and around Jammu city and asked people to come forward and avail the benefits of the welfare schemes launched by the Government under different sectors.
Chairman Legislative Council said that upgradation of lanes and drains in old city have become imperative to ease the difficulty of the people. He said initiatives taken by the Government for the benefit of the people are yielding good results.
