Make Ayurvedic College functional from current session: AJKAC

JAMMU, May 29: All J&K Ayurvedic Congress (AJKAC) today urged the State Government as well as Health Minister to make Ayurvedic College functional from current academic session.
The issue came up for discussion during a working committee meeting of the AJKAC held here today under the chairmanship of Dr BR Sharma, State president, AJKAC. The meeting also discussed various problems being faced by the rank and file of Ayush professionals.
The speakers which include Dr HN Patwari, Dr TR Gupta, Dr DS Sambyal, Dr BD Gupta, Dr OP Gupta and Dr Kartar Singh, expressed grave concern over unnecessary delay in making Government Ayurvedic College functional at Jammu.
They stated that establishment of Government Ayurvedic College was announced way back in the year 2008 by the then Central Health Minister but despite lapse of nearly nine years and assurances by the State Health Minister, the much delayed project has yet to be commissioned.
The meeting impressed upon the State Government in general and Health Minister in particular to initiate all necessary measures to make Ayurvedic College functional from current academic session.
