Major haul of illicit liquor pouches recovered, 2 arrested

JAMMU, Nov 3: Domana police recovered a major haul of illicit liquor pouches and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Domana Police Station laid a naka and intercepted an auto bearing registration number JK02AS-3711.
During checking, police recovered 206 pouches of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were carrying the illicit liquor pouches to their native areas for selling among the people for illegitimate profits.
The arrested persons have been identified as Bua Ditta, son of Chandu Ram of Muthi and Sukh Pal, son of Shanker Dass of Patoli Brahamana.
A case under FIR Number 334/17 under Section 48-F Excise Act has been registered at Domana Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, yesterday on specific information, a team from Domana Police Station conducted raid in a shop near Marh and recovered 41 pouches of illicit liquor. Police arrested the shopkeeper, who has been identified as Ram Chand, son of Indru Ram, a resident of Malika Mehra, Marh.
A case under FIR Number 332/17 under Section 48-F Excise Act has been registered at Domana Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Domana Inspector RS Rana arrested the bootleggers under the supervision of SDPO Domana Varinder Singh Kattal and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
