Majalta, Ramnagar to be developed as viable tourism circuit: Pathania

UDHAMPUR, Oct 22: MLA Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania, today reiterated his focus on boosting pilgrimage tourism in Ramnagar and Majalta tehsils, which he said, shall boost local employment as well exposure and development of the area.
He was addressing a gathering after paying obeisance at the historic Nag-Devta shrine of Rehni (Kulwanta). The MLA also reiterated focus on proper development, projection and creation of state-of-art tourism facilities at Devi Bani temple at Manwal, Vasuki Nag Temples at Dudu, Basantgarh and Gandh Top, Narsingh temples at Ramnagar, Gurlang and Jansal, Aapshambu temples at Dalsar and Khoon, ancient Nag temple at Mansar, and Chountara Mata, Bihana Choun and Pingla Mata shrines.
He said that thousands of devotees visit each of these revered shrines every year but State has done least to provide adequate infrastructural facilities at these shrines. He informed the people that a road under CRF has been sanctioned to provide connectivity to the famous shrine of Chountara Mata. He also vowed to provide road connectivity to the shrines of Pingla Mata and Bihana Choun Mata. He also called for developing Tamdyal and Shiv Gali temple as centers of tourist attraction.
Pathania also reiterated his resolve for proper conservation, beautification and proper development of Mansar and Surinsar lakes, as irrespective of the aesthetic value of these lakes, the sentiments and devotional feelings of lakhs of people are inseparably attached to both of these lakes.
Earlier, the MLA conducted spot inspection of the macadamization work currently being undertaken on Ramnagar-Basantgarh road and instructed executing agencies to strictly adhere to the quality norms and standards and prescribed time schedule.
He also reviewed the preparedness of PDD, PHE, PWD and CAPD Departments in view of the ensuing winter season, so that communication lines, electricity and water supply are not snapped during snowfall in the area.
