Maintain city temples

Sir,
This has reference to Dr. Kapil Sharma article “Temples of  Jammu” in DE May 21, 2017. The author has rightly pointed out the miserable condition of some most important temples of Jammu City with special reference to Dewana Mandir. It is sorry state of affairs that neither we could preserve Mubarak Mandi palace complex nor we could restore the prestige of our ancient City Temples. The gate way of Dewana Mandir, mismanagement of Gou-Shala, foul smell and garbage of huge quantity is enough to explain sad tale of events. The Dharamarth Trust which carries the management responsibility of all important temples has meager sources of income. The sole Trustee and other Royal members should give it a serious thought  how to safeguard and preserve this most important religious heritage of Jammu City. It is pertinent to mention here that even the local public is unaware of history and greatness of these temples. There is no road connectivity and no proper parking facility around these temples. If the Govt can dismantle some shops in Rajinder Bazar for motorable connectivity to a Mosque, same formula be applied to provide road connectivity and parking facilities to these temples, otherwise the name City of Temple will disappear in the public minds.
Yours etc…..
