Maiden White Water Rafting Expedition held

Excelsior Sports Correspondent
UDHAMPUR, July 17: A maiden White Water Rafting Expedition is being held in Trans – Khardungla region over an average altitude of 12,000 feet, an endeavour to sail into the Limca Book of World Record.
The Rafting Expedition, first conceptualized by the Siachen Bde in order to put the trans- Khardungla region on to the Adventure Sports World Map, will also attempt to establish a ‘Limca Book of World Record” by conducting the highest White Water Rafting endeavour through the razor sharp rock faces, near vertical drops, freezing icy-cold waters and the scorching, untamed sun, over an unnerving arduous stretch of 250 kms with the highly trained rafting team of Siachen Bde, led by Maj KS Panigrahy, a Limca Book Record holder for the “Longest Catamaran Sailing Expedition in India”.
