JAMMU, Jan 6: Mahila Congress workers today held strong protest demonstration against the GMC molestation case and demanded fast track trial of the case.
The Mahila Congress workers led by State president  Indu Pawar (Ex-MLA) assembled near Press Club here and started protest demonstration. Despite bad weather and cold,  the Mahila Congress  activists gathered at Exhibition Ground near Press Club in large number during the day and held demonstration. They were carrying banners and placards in hands displaying demands.
They were demanding stern action against the doctor involved  in the alleged molestation of an MBBS student. Pawar said it is shameful incident and Govt Medical College authorities and the State Health and Medical Education minister should take serious note of the incident.  She said that many incidents of exploitation of the fair sex at work places and educational institutions go unreported. The girls should become bold to expose the such people.
Pawar urged upon the State authorities to speed up probe into the case and terminate the doctor. She further demanded that case be settled on fast track  basis. Several other women activists of the party    including  Vandana Makhnotra, Santosh Sharma, Kanta Thakur , Reeta and Kanta also spoke on the occasion.
