Mahakaruna in Ladakh on June 25: MIMC

LEH, Apr 13: To spread the message of Lord Buddha, Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) will celebrate Mahakaruna in Europe and Ladakh this summer.
This was stated by MIMC Founder Director Bhikkhu Sanghasena while addressing a press conference at Devachan campus. He informed that International Mahakaruna Day has already been celebrated in seven Indian mega cities—New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Amravati (AP), Chandigarh and Jammu.
He said that this event will also take place in South Asian countries like Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia in the month of April and in many parts of Europe in May 2017. “This mega international event will be celebrated at MIMC Devachan campus in Ladakh on June 25”, he further said.
The MIMC is organizing “Mahakaruna-Great Compassion in Action” event for the past several years in different parts of North India. “In the name of religion world is suffering from hatred, war, crimes, jealousy and many other mental diseases thus Mahakaruna is much needed event to rejuvenate the suffering mind”, the Founder Director said, adding “all religions and faiths preach love and compassion which we must cultivate in our day to day life to have a harmonious society”.
During the celebrations in Ladakh, there will be medical camp to distribute prosthetic limbs, callipers, wheel chairs etc to all the needy people of Ladakh. There will be series of events during the celebration like meditation, debate, cultural shows and pilgrimage tour to the historical places.
