KATHUA, July 28: Launching a scathing attack on Opposition parties in their bid to form Mahagathbandhan against Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Union Minister in PMO with Independent charge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh today said the Mahagathbandhan comprised leaders frustrated by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s increasing popularity.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration of newly upgraded Dreamland Park here today for which he had released Rs 40 lakh out of his MPLAD Fund, Dr Jitendra said “it is Mahagathbandhan of ‘hate’ against Modi”and it will never succeed in its designs as Prime Minister who is totally dedicated and devoted to the welfare of the people and development of the nation to realize the dream of making India the Vishaw Guru, is gaining popularity day by day.

Dr Jitendra Singh took serious exception to recent statement of former Congress chief and its senior leader, Sonia Gandhi who during AICC Working Committee meet had said that the countdown for Narendra Modi has started. He said that 130 crore people of India have elected Narendra Modi as their Prime Minister and abusing his legitimacy as PM amounts to abusing the legitimacy of the mandate of 130 crore people of this country.
He said the designs of the oppositions parties will get frustrated as the Mahagathbandhan comprises of those people who can’t face Modi. “These are all disgruntled politicians and they joined hands seeing that they have no chance to come to power”, he added.
Lashing out at Congress party, Dr Jitendra Singh said that out of 65 years after independence, almost for 48 years only a single family namely the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty , ruled the country. “The comparison between the 48 years of Nehru -Gandhi family rule and 48 months of Modi Government is that this Government has succeeded in making the nation realize what democracy is all about”, he added.
The Union Minister said that those who are ganging up against Modi and his Government are those who are unable to be part with the loaves and fishes of dynastic rule, wherein one single family was the beneficiary while all others were decimated from the records of history.
He said in his bid to hoodwink and exploit the sentiments of the people Congress president, Rahul Gandhi becomes Jeniv Dhari Hindu overnight and visits temples in Gujarat and Karnataka to seek Hindu vote.
Taking the former Chief Minster of J&K and NC leader, Omar Abdullah to task, he said the NC leader was yesterday seen roaming in the lanes of and by-lanes of Kolkata daydreaming to become next CM of the State forgetting that it will be decided in the State of J&K that which party will be given the mandate to rule and who will be the next CM.  “Elections can’t be fought on the soil of Kolkata but J&K and by wearing Jeniv or visiting lanes of Kolkata will not make any difference”, he added.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, Narendra Modi as Prime Minister and the BJP led Government at the Centre for the first time after over 60 years , symbolizes the emergence of grass root democracy in India, for which our forefathers laid down their lives in the freedom struggle to achieve an independent democratic India and the present generation of youth visualizes their aspirations being realized through the vision of Narendra Modi.
He said had the Dreamland Park been inaugurated five years back, it would have been named as Nehru Gandhi Park. “There are many parks, buildings and institutions from Kashmir’s Nehru Park to State of Kerala on the name of Nehru -Gandhi family. But Narendra Modi Government has discarded this practice and no yojna or institution has been named after any personality. “ We named yojnas on the name of Government like PM Jandhan Yojna etc and not on the name of any personality. No work was named after any dynasty during last four years”, he added.
This has been done because Narendra Modi Government thought that the children of other people are also our own, he said, adding that present Union Government is working with dedication, honesty and selflessly for the betterment of people and for development of nation to restore India’s pristine glory.
Challenging the opposition parties especially the Congress, he said what comparison their leaders have with Prime Minister Narendra Modi who came from grass root level by starting work from Rail platform and then became the Prime Minister of this nation.
He said only that leader can become Prime Minister who identifies himself with the youth and  Modi is the only Prime Minister who identified himself with the youth of this nation otherwise people were looking towards a particular family.
He while taking the previous MPs to task for not paying attention towards the development of Udhampur-Kathua Parliamentary Constituency, said that one MP was elected from this Constituency for five consecutive terms but he never visited the area and people were send a message that Raja Sahib is contesting and they have to vote him.
Had they taken pains to develop the area it would have not taken 40 long years in  sanctioning the Ujh multipurpose and Shahpur Kandi game changer projects.
He said with the construction of Rs 5000 crore Ujh Multipurpose Project over 3000 hectares of land will be irrigated in twin districts of Kathua Samba, besides State will get 200 mw of power and over 100 Panchayats in these two districts will get safe drinking water. The kandi will no longer be called Kandi after construction of these projects, he added
He said these projects were deliberately delayed by Kashmir centric politicians over the years.
Dr Jitendra Singh announced that the foundation stone of Seed Processing Plant in Kathua will also be laid soon while Keriyan Gandyal bridge will be inaugurated by this year end. The Seed processing plant is a way towards doubling the farmers income as envisioned by PM. He said many bridges in the Kathua district are under construction and they will be completed by next year.
Dr Jitendra Singh said Rs 10 crore alone were given to Kathua by him out of which Rs eight cr were spent so far.
He said the Radio Station Udhampur will be soon completed while tenders for Devika Rejuvenation Project will also be invited soon. He also announced that Udhampur will have PGI pattern Army Medical College and work on all weather road to be constructed from Doda to Dalhousie will be started soon and it will have a 6 km long tunnel at Chaattergala which will cost Rs 3500 crore. With construction of this tunnel the distance from Doda to Dalhousie will be covered in five hours, he added.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that another tunnel which will be constructed in the area will link Doda to Chamba in HP and survey is being conducted on construction of National Corridor from Delhi to Katra via Amritsar which will reduce the distance from Kathua to Delhi to five hours, he added.
Earlier addressing the meeting MLA Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia in his usual style sought funds for more developmental works of his Constituency to make Kathua a Model constituency. He complimented the Union Minister for being generous in getting various projects sanctioned for Kathua as well as entire Parliamentary Constituency and said had Dr Jitendra Singh not taken keen interest Kathua would have not got projects like Medical College, Engineering College, Biotech Park,  Keriyan Gandyal bridge ,Seed Processing Plant and various bridges especially in border belt.
MLA Hiranagar also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the development projects taken up in hand in his Constituency. President BJP Backward Classes Cell and former VC Development Board for OBCs, Rishpal Verma asked people to strengthen BJP and said that no opposition can stand in front of Narendra Modi whose mantra is Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.
District president BJP, Prem Nath Dogra, secretary,  Janak Bharti and Shashi Paul also addressed the gathering.
The function was attended by DC Kathua, Rohit Khajuria, SSP Kathua Sridhar Patil and other senior officers.
