HOROSCOPE
This
Week For You February 8 14 , 2009
 |
| Aries |
|
Good times
continue to visit you this week.
Decisions made, will benefit you
in both short and long terms.
Good advice and support will pour
in from all quarters, aiding you
to move on and execute those
plans that were nebulous for
quite some time. Acquisitions,
gadgets and assets will increase
and multiply. Ganesha's
generosity is great this week,
bolstering you to change your
attitudes further, acquiring
gratitude and true caring in the
process. |
 |
| Taurus |
|
Your
conscience motivates you to
re-look at your strengths and
weakness. You will experience the
value of good relationships,
perhaps like never before. In
fact, vision clarity and
audaciousness, are the two
attributes that distinguishes you
from the others, in your personal
and professional life. This
includes, the entire assortment,
from friends to colleagues, to
loved ones, to spouse, to
parents/children. Differences
arise, but overall the
interactions will be cordial and
friendly. |
 |
| Gemini |
|
You'll be
constantly on the look out for
more work. So, you will start
focusing on a larger gamut of
activities. From pursuing hobbies
to taking lessons in arts and
music. You will also love to
dally with the opposite sex.
However, you will avoid getting
into a serious relationship.
Spending some happy moments
together is what matters to you
the most, than a long term
commitment. However, do test the
waters before taking the final
plunge. |
 |
| Cancer |
|
A deluge of
ideas preoccupy your mind to a
great extent, mainly regarding
new ventures and deals. You enjoy
taking up challenges at the work
front and are extremely realistic
about it. Your thinking positions
you on the right track. In a bid
to balance income &
expenditure, you could even be
exercising all your skills, tact,
and diplomacy. Quick gains is not
on your cards, focus and greater
direction are. |
 |
| Leo |
|
Your
strength of mind and character
will be put to test like never
before, as conflicts and
showdowns are predicted at the
work front. But you do solve
them, and amiably, for the most
part. You don't bow down
entirely, but hold your own. You
may feel exploited or taken for
granted. However, your fortitude
and patience comes to your
rescue. Consequently, you win
where others might have failed. |
 |
| Virgo |
|
You tend to
be in a spiritual mode this week.
Prayers and worship, tantra and
mantra, the occult,
para-psychological and the
metaphysical facets of life draw
your attention to a large extent.
However, money matters don't
escape from your mindset. Money
is as crucial to you as your
spiritual quotient.
Deals/partnerships,
negotiations/collaborations will
proceed the way you had
anticipated. Some sort of shifts
are also on the cards. It could
be in the form of change of place
or house-move.
|

 |
| Libra |
|
A fine
balance between work and
pleasure, home and work. New
changes, in terms of partnerships
and collaborations. An absolute
peace of mind is predicted at
both work and home front. Work
load, commitment which were
weighing heavily on your mind,
will ease off. Someone very close
to you, attracts you, stimulates
you. Old contacts, associations,
provide mental relief. This help
you achieve peace and harmony,
which you always have been
craving for
|
 |
| Scorpio |
|
You feel
relaxed and relate better.
Security and prosperity are on
the cards. Friendship and love
will be challenging and complex.
You love to get into real
communication, which will be
deeper and satisfying, be it old
friends or new. Social relations
will be stronger, and in turn
will strengthen you. Your
concentration is centered around
people. This does not mean that
finances and work will fade into
the oblivion |
 |
| Sagittarius |
|
Romance,
love, adventure is there on the
cards, and therefore lots of fun,
gatherings, parties and
entertainment. At the same time
you will feel neglected and over
sensitive over an issue. Even in
the midst of a company, you feel
secluded and isolated. Ganesha
says that this must be the
primary reason for you to get
into hobbies, entertainment and
leisure, despite your stressful
schedules
|
 |
| Capricorn |
|
Advancement
in a charted dominion is
foreseen. The prominent feature
of last week was personal
interaction, which you happily
carry forward. You will be caring
and compatible to both old
ties/bonds and the new ones you
forge. You demonstrate quite a
lot of earnestness and
audaciousness in your dealings
with people. In fact, friendly
communication will ease off all
your unspoken fears. You will
understand people's feelings with
affection, caring, or at the very
least, insight.
|
 |
| Aquarius |
|
You
maintain your progress, even in
this quarter. Your inward looking
nature and actions draws you
close to greater power and
position. You even win over your
rivals, though they appear to be
more stronger. You seem to have a
clearer idea on your future
course of action, helping you
gain a cutting edge over the
others. Perks, job-satisfaction
and professional recognition seem
to be on the cards |
 |
| Pisces |
|
Friends,
enjoyment, new methods of work
will keep you on the roll. You
have this intense desire to move
on with your life. Be it
emotionally, mentally and of
course, professionally. Increase
in assets lightens your burden,
in terms of responsibilities as
well as closer relationships. Be
tolerant towards your friends,
and try to find the reasons
behind their anxiety and
inhibitions. You and your lover
succeed in surmounting all
obstacles, thereby proving your
true love for each other

My Soul
In the night, when I was sleeping
of doing something different
I was dreaming
I got up quickly, When I heard a
voice.
There was all silence,
And not a little noise
A girl was weeping, sitting on my
bed.
She was looking at me,
And was touching my head.
I asked who are you,
And what you are doing there?
She said me politely, please
don't fear
In a little light, what did I
see.
She was a girl, just looking like
me.
She was giving me sympathy,
Inspiring me to do something
By doing hard work,
You will get everything,
She was going, and wishing me
good luck.
Never feel hesitation, to do the
right work.
On seeing her, I felt very glad.
But her departure, again made me
sad.

SOMEONE WILL
BE WAITING FOR YOU
Someone will be waiting for you,
Far away at some distant land,
Someone will be waiting for you.
Ready to forgive you for every
mistake you make,
Ready to bring a big smile on
your face.
Always there to treat you nicely,
Always there is to advice you
wisely
Trying to tell you that
everyone's not bad,
Trying to tell- "You're here
that's why i am so glad".
Sometimes there to laugh with
you,
Sometimes there to cry with you,
Someone will be waiting for you.
Just look above at the
ubiquitious sky,
Whether it's day or it's night,
You'll come to know surely, that
Far away at some distant land
Someone will be waiting for you.

Valentine
A Valentine is
nothing like
A chocolate or a rose.
For in a week these shall be
gone,
But Valentines remain.
If love were always sweet to
tongue
Or fragrant to the nose,
Each day would be like
Valentine's,
And we would go insane.
A Valentine just hangs around
Waiting to be kissed
Long after special days have
passed
And every days are here.
So one is wise to choose one well
And chocolates to resist.
For in the midst of mania
It's nice to have one near.

voice
There is a touch of sweetness,
In her voice there is some soothe
ness.
The voice is so all serene,
That it rectifies doubts clean.
The touch of her voice is a
dream;
It seems as soft as cream.
The voice signifies her words,
It all carries off heavy loads.
The listener's ears get a clean
call,
They seem to drown in her voice
stall.
There is an innocence in her
voice,
It carries of her character as
choice.
The voice implies the life within
you,
With its sweetness, your
appreciation
is due.
The voice explains as what you
are,
It repels the suspicion as far.
No ebb is seen in her voice,
Her voice repels ebb as a magical
dice.
The effeminacy is seen her
throat,
It balances her as the water
below boat.
The sweetness adds fire to it,
The sweetness in her voice makes
all to sit

SUNNY
THUSOO, POUNI CHAK
Q: The best way to find yourself
is to lose yourself in the
service of others. Please
comment?
A: The service of mankind is
considered the service to God and
the one who strives hard in
selfless service forgetting about
himself, certainly makes
acquaintance with himself, and
that is the right way for one and
all to remain prepared for
helping those who need your help
the most, so that you could meet
yourself in all the forms of
life.
ROHAN TRISAL, VIA e-mail
Q: Each day is the beginning of
the rest of your life. Focus on
the future to make most of it.
Comment?
A: Each and every day brings hope
for life, not only for human
beings but also of animals and
other creatures in this world.
Since dawn one should set targets
for the day and put all the might
to ensure that these get
accomplished by dusk. And there
lies the key to success for every
human being.
ANEEL JMU, VIA e-mail
Q: As per PMO, the Union
Ministers do not come under Right
To Information Act. What is the
logic behind shielding them, if
they are really honest?
A: There are various policy
decisions in the matters of
governance, where secrecy is to
maintained and each and every
elected member of any house even
in Assembly is administered an
oath of secrecy in the discharge
of his or her duties for the
welfare of the State. The PMO is
in no way wrong if it has sought
to remind even the Union
Ministers about the oath taken by
them to keep some secrets for the
welfare of the country. I am also
of the opinion that Union
Ministers should be kept out of
the purview of RTI Act for
various reasons, which the people
of the country must understand
themselves.
TOUSEEF DEV, KISHTWAR
Q: Where lawlessness becomes law,
honest citizens become cheats,
crooks and dacoits. Your comment?
A: Your question very much
pertains to the Indian conditions
in general and those in the Jammu
and Kashmir State in particular.
In the days of Governor Rule
under Mr Jagmohan, though the
corruption had come to a halt,
but the menace had assumed
alarming proportions as the rates
of getting jobs accomplished had
alarmingly gone very high, that
too under the very nose of the
then Governor, who was a honest
administrator, but failed to
smell the rot under his very
nose. In the otherwise popular
Governments, the credentials of
all public celebrities always
remain under stake. And such
conditions only brood corruption
and lawlessness.
VIKRAM KATOCH, RAMBAN
Q: Can a Hindu citizen of Jammu
and Kashmir can become Chief
Minister of the State?
A: Perhaps not. Because from the
outset, the facts about the
demography of the State has been
distorted to such an extent that
even if Hindus form a majority,
Jammu and Kashmir State would
always be called as Muslim
dominated State and the people of
Jammu, especially Hindus, left
with no choice than to remain as
second class citizens.
SMARTY, BISHNAH
Q: If we love some one, we try to
be like that person. If we love
God, should not we attempt to be
Godly?
A: The love of God is an eternal
blessing and very few are there
who obtained such position like
Meera and Radha or Swami
Tulsidas, Bhagat Kabir or Rishi
Valmiki and the like. In our
todays life of materialism,
we remain confined to our
so-called self-centred cocoons
and never realize that the world
is vast and worth realization for
love and co-existence.
AJAY DEEP, SAMBA
Q: What should a person do to get
control over his or her anger?
A: Every human being should learn
the art of putting a check on his
or her emotions and it is only
after that one can learn the art
of getting control over
ones anger. It may take a
time, but the formula is well
worked out and proven to be the
best.
RAMA GUPTA, BISHNAH
Q: Pakistan wants no war, so say
Zardari and Gillani. India wants
no war, so says Prime Minister
Manmohan Singh. World powers want
no war, so say Gordon and others,
strange, then who wants it and
what is all this tension about?
Your views?
A: Though no country or its
citizens want war, but sometimes
it become a necessary evil. As
far as India is concerned, it
never ventured out to wage a war
against any country. It was first
China which waged a war against
India in year 1962 and then
Pakistan waged two full fledged
wars, the first one in the year
1965 and got defeated and then in
1971 when it had to lose East
Pakistan (Now Bangladesh) and of
late the Kargil intrusion, where
also India won. It is Pakistan
which earlier waged war and may
do same kind of mis-adventurism
in the future also.
VIVEK B RAINA, JAMMU
Q: When the fuel prices were
high, the transporters went on
strike for hike in fare. Now when
the fuel prices have been
slashed, why is there no action
taken by RTO to bring the fare
rates down?
A: It is general perception that
even a mother wont feed its
baby unless it starts crying.
Transporters went on strike and
got conceded their demand. Now
let some body from the public
come forward and agitate for the
same and make the Government to
bow before their genuine
grievance.
SUNJAY DHAR, SARWAL
Q: Physical beauty can be lost by
marks of age and accident, but
spiritual beauty cannot be
destroyed. Comment?
A: Spiritualism in itself is a
beauty of mind but there are a
very few people who are able to
attain that place where the man
rises above the worldly rituals
and makes acquaintance with God
Almighty. Otherwise, in this
world, physical appearance is
always given priority, which is
always short-lived.
JOGINDER ANGOTRA, JAMMU
Q: Is the Pakistan Government
serious to curb militancy and
crush militants?
A: How can a mother kill its
child, which she nurtures with
her blood in the shape of milk.
It was the sinister design of
Pakistan that first it encouraged
militancy in Punjab on the name
of Khalistan, which caused mush
blood-shed and mayhem and when it
saw that its designs have failed
with strong action taken by
Indian Government, it encouraged
militancy in Kashmir and a few
parts of Jammu province also. As
per me, there is lot of
difference between what Pakistan
Government says and what it does.
PRABHAT KUMAR JHA, JAMMU
Q: While reading your column, my
father often refer to you as a
Gandhian. But quite
amusingly, he himself deals with
the problems of life, in a
manner, you suggest through your
column. Still he seems to be
always disagreeing with
Gandhijis preaching and
philosophies. How do you explain
this?
A: Why dont you ask the
same question to your father? As
per me your father seems to be a
right thinking person, who knows,
how to deal with the problems of
life, taking right clues from
whatever quarters these come. As
of me, whatever I say is the crux
of life experienced by me so far.
SHIVAM KOUL, TALAB TILLO
Q: Why citizens of India despite
of being highly qualified are not
interested for jobs in India and
prefer to go outside and settle
there?
A: The problem of brain drain is
always there among the developing
countries. The highly educated
youth of the country think that
they could earn more in a foreign
country rather than at home but
they fail to understand the fact
that now-a-days the world has
become a global village and also
Multi-National Companies (MNCs)
has started establishing their
branches very much in India with
high pay packages for suitable
persons.
Dear Patrons,
