Save me! Save me!

Eight planets in the universe
And I am one of them
You took birth on me
I am the mother of all
Yet not cared for my deeds
And left alone unnoticed
Industries, Industries and industries
Are they your dying need
Don't you need a fresh air to inhale
All around these is unhealthy drive
A sheath of black suit on my eyes.
That is making me blind
Worst is my plight
Who will give me
My right
Today I am crying
Tomorrow you will be dying
Still there is a time
Save me.
From the hands of devil
So that I can get a relief
Clear suit from my surface
And lover it
With lush green grasses
Though, today there is global warming
But after few days, my land will be cooling
And everyone will be relaxing
I am advising
And you are listening
Man is an intelligent being
My suggestions,
Has appealed your senses
And you will be doing something effective
Prevent me
To prevent yourself
And live a life full of health.

College - days

Why now the college days become so boring,
In the past (Ist year) they were so glowing
During those days I enjoy a lot,
But now for me to enjoy there is no spot.
The zoology department of my college is strict and very sincere,
But the practical work I found is very tough this year.
Before giving medical entrance, I have never decided to join college,
But I remain unable to expose my intelligence and knowledge.
Soon in the college I remain no more intelligent but lazy,
Because about my aims and dreams, now I am not so crazy.
I usually sit on the last bench and miss my happy School days,
But to go back in my imaginative streets there are no ways.
Whatever I will say about college all the great experiences will be with me
From these sweet - sweet memories I would never be free.

Villager’s life

Happy the man who lives in a village
Breathe fresh air and have good homage.
Nature provided you a Robest physique.
Broad framed body and a gifted psyche
You are foraway from the worlds worrys
You lift the world which have hurry.
Thy pious life how do I express?
Neither impure thoughts nor big mental stress
Should I compare thee to a poet
Who creates ideas and give them light.
But he too could'nt get your happiness.
Writes wefull ballady and takes stress
You are strong like tiger in the forest
And internally innocent as lamb in rest
How could I enjoy the villagers happiness
I live among people who are ambitious.

To be a spacer

The small and little dreams,
Inculcated in the little mind,
Creates a condition that means
To die or to find.
A child who is aspiring
To become an Astronaut,
Should pay his dreams a lot.
The child develops an eager to space,
He starts to learn that phase,
He earths his mind so that he can face,
The fast running marathon of space.
Salute to Armstrong and Williams,
Who have shown their brilliance!
They all have to give preference,
So that we can start our sequence
The passage to space is no new
But everyone wants to stay a few,
The dreams of space should not flew
Instead they should develop sight to drew
The unique experience in zero gravity
Remind the every moment,
The return to earth is not surety
But still they are sent
So not as simple to be a spacer
Gallantry and bravery are required,
A child wants to be a true facer
In which he has even to face fire

SAHIL BHAT, PALOURA
Q: Is it not a tragedy that Jammu and Kashmir Government has turned a blind eye towards Talabs (ponds), because instead of renovating them these are being converted into parks and shopping complexes and colonies?
A: The erstwhile rulers of Jammu had a sharp eye as far as the matter concerning preservation of environment was concerned, because in walled city of Jammu, Maharajas of that time had constructed large Talabs in almost every locality and somuchso the civic department of those times had engaged Mashkis to spray water in the lanes of the city who used to sprinkle water twice a day in all lanes and gullies of the city. Same was the case with other ponds in rural areas where due attention used to be paid for their upkeep and maintenance. But after independence of the country, though the practice was carried out for few years, but thereafter the element of conservation or preservation of ponds vanished and now the ponds are being converted into shopping malls etc. It is really tragic state of affairs.
FAIZAN TRAMBOO, NEW DELHI
Q: Happiest are the people who give more happiness to others. Its it right?
A: It is very much true because happiness increases while sharing with others and also by making them happy, that is why it is said that, “Laugh and the world will laugh with you and weep and you will weep alone”.
SHABIR KATOCH, SCOTLAND
Q: Are there any hydrocarbon reserves in Jammu and Kashmir? If yes, then what about them?
A: The presence of hydrocarbon was established in Saruinsar area of Jammu district way back and the premier exploring agency Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) had pressed its men and machinery for the job, but for melting of casting tubes in the well being dug, the ONGC, for obvious reason, packed up it exploration project and shifted the rig to North East.
SURESH GUPTA, RAJPURA
Q: But for the controversy of ‘Fodder Scam’, Mr Lalu Prasad Yadav has proved to be best ever Railway Minister of India. Your comment?
A: Lalu Prasad Yadav has arisen from the grass root level and joined politics when he was a student of Patna University where he remained president for consecutive four year, during which he did his LLM degree with grace. In politics he has shown his mettle always and is still the favourite choice of people of Bihar.
SURESH SHARMA, via e-mail
Q: Economics and politics are governing powers of life today and that is why everything is so screwy. Please comment?
A: Your question holds enough of weight and speaks volumes about the helplessness of common people amidst the governing powers viz holding of economy and politicians. While the economy of the country is in the hands of a few rich families, the politicians are seemingly their co-partners, who have been sucking the blood of poor and lower middle class people and in the end result filing up their coffers with impunity.
ANJU DEVI, UDHAMPUR
Q: Is life possible without money now-a-days?
A: What to speak of now-a-days, the life has all along been very difficult in the earlier times also. The poor people even during “Ram Rajya” had no say and so is their condition even today.

Y W SHARMA, JAMMU

Q: Present is the incident ray, past is the reflected ray and future is the angle between the two, which measures our achievements. Your comment?
A: As per my view point the past though have some bearing on our present, must be forgotten and due care should be taken care of because whatever we do at present would have a bearing on our future. Again taking into consideration our present position, we need to plan our future also accordingly.

J K KAUL, JAMMU

Q: Do you think that friendship is like a snow-ball, easy to make it, but hard to keep?
A: Friendship is such a relation which occurs between two persons on its own but at the same time it is not so easy to make friends. Likewise to carry the relations with friends, one is required to become an open book for his friend so that the friendship could go as far as one of them dies and even beyond that.
PAARAS KOTWAL, JAMMU
Q: What is politics?
A: The word Politics in itself is an institution deliberating upon various aspects of life concerning people of all shades and hues. It also pronounces the ideas and activities used by people within a particular group to try to get power.
AKHLAQ H NAJAR, GOOL
Q: In the present competitive society modern education does little for the inner development of the soul. Comment?
A: This is very much true, but we all, the components of the society are responsible, because at the outset, we want that our wards should attain convent education at whatever cost, and even pay through the nose for that, but in return we get our wards in the shape of parrots, who possess enough of bookish knowledge but lack basic ethos of life or element of righteousness amongst them.
RAJAN GUPTA, JAMMU
Q: ‘Praise a friend in public, criticize in private’. Comment?
A: A friend, if he is in true sense of the same, must keep sanctity of friendship and show him the right path while talking one-to-one and even criticize him, but in public he should not fall short of mincing words of praise for his friend.
RAJESH MANHAS, KASTIGARH
Q: Do you think that girls are physiologically inborn. They already know what a boy intends towards them in a particular situation?
A: I am of the opinion that females of the species, though may not know many worldly things but they possess the acumen to understand the intentions of males in any given situation and thus are superior than them. Because in a female after the word FE, MALE is also associated, that is why she is also a mother, a sister, a wife and what not.
ROHINI K GUPTA, REHARI
Q: There is only one magic to remove poverty- hard work, iron will, clear vision and strictest discipline. Please comment?
A: Your question contains all the answers in itself. But I am of the view that none can get more than that what is destined for him and that too at a fixed time.
MANIK GUPTA, RAJOURI
Q: Which city is known as the Garden City of India?
A: Bangalore city in Karnataka is known as Garden City of India.
PRABHAT KUMAR JHA, JAMMU
Q: In my life I have always been a firm believer in the value of virtue called as ‘patience’, because we often say that patience pays if backed up by sustained efforts. But the element of patience seems to be missing amongst the younger generation, as it wants instant results for their not so sincere efforts. If they fail they curse it as bad luck, but if they succeed, they call it as their sheer luck. What are your views?
A: It is true that patience always pays, but that to with continued and sustained and effective efforts by a person. A simple example can be given in this matter that if you sow a seed of a fruit tree, you are required to nurture it till it grows and starts bearing fruit. Till it starts bearing fruit the grower is required to keep patience. If a person wants to excel he must keep the element of patience in himself alive all through so as to succeed in life.
