YOUR NAME

Your Name…
A charm
That casts away
All my worries and fears
Your Name…
A magical word
That changes my days
From sad into happy ones
Your Name…
A beautiful remembrance
That never leaves me alone
And fills my heart with hopes
Your Name…
A pleasant sound
That resounds in my ears
In my loneliness and in noise
Your Name…
A sweet dream
That I see all the time
Whether I am awake or asleep
Your Name…
An effective remedy
That lessens my pains 'n' sorrows
And draws smiles on my lips
Whenever I utter it
A wonderful world
That I always wish to live in
And find my happiness in
Your Name…
A true treasure
That I carry with me
Wherever I go
Your Name…
A happy song
That I sing
Whenever I am blue
And alone…!

Happiness

Happiness a bird, which can't
be kept in captivity,
It can be easily observed in
our every activity
It accompanies us throughout
our lives,
Without it, it really seems
difficult to survive.
It can straighten out many things,
Everyone remains thirsty for
it beggar or a king.
It has now to be reached in
every country even in a city,
"Happiness" is a bird which can't be kept in captivity.

—Sangeeta Thapa

I AM LONELY

When 2008 came, I tried
to make a list of my friends.
And I found that
nobody is with me.
Nobody in this world is mine.
I have not a single friend
Who shares my loneliness.
There is nobody with me in
the days of happiness or sadness.
My days of lonesome puts me
In the room, full of darkness.
But I want to come out of it,
by finding a solution.
But no one is here who listens
the word of my silence.
When tears come out of my eyes,
My spirit says that
"I AM LONELY"

-Shagun Khullar

Down to Valley

Fresh is the air fresh the day
Open upto horizon greenry pervades
Solitary, the longer to stay
And the eternal words, since decades
Shower music around the vale
Avenue present a gorgeous view
Every moment inspire, every corner hail
And a feast of green hue
Heart rending echos gradually rise
And the melodous birds celebrate
Shift and a constant noise
Sight roams and thought aviate
Woods cure and woods do hail
Woods have been left in scale.

— Mohd. Akhar Dev

Seripura Gool

believe in your self
"If you think you are beaten
You are
If you think you are not
you don't
If you like to win but
Think you cannot
Its almost a inch you won't
If you think you will lose
For out in you are lost
World we find
Success begins with a
Fellow’s will
It is all in a state of mind
Life's baths don't
Always go to the stronger
Or faster man
But sooner or later
The man who wins
Is the one who thinks
He can".

ROHANI K GUPTA, REHARI
Q: The ‘Heaviest Word’ in the world in ‘Maa..’, the Mother. Please opine?
A: There are no two opinions about the worth of the MOTHER, without whom none can think even about the concept of living being dwelling on this planet known as Earth to which we call “Dharti Maa”.
AKHLAQ H NAJAR, GOOL
Q: Kashmiri leadership is so much divided that every body is projecting himself as the leader and representative of Kashmiris. Your view point?
A: Your question is very much genuine because in Kashmir there are only leaders and no grass root level worker, because none considers himself as less of a leader. When the Kashmir issue has assumed alarming proportion and eyes of the world looming large on the so-called dispute, the leaders from Kashmir have failed to unite and come on a single platform, because in Kashmir none considers himself as number two leader. In short it is said that “Main Bhi Raani Too Bhi Raani, Kaun Bhare Ga Paani”.
CHANKYA, KATHUA
Q: Administration cannot be administered by the administrators at their own and every where a group of people is found influencing the administration or for that matter creating hurdles in the way of good administration. Comment?
A: An administrator is supposed to be an independent person capable of taking decisions on his or her own. And if an administrator gets influenced by a group of individuals, then the administrator cannot be called as such. “ Ek Hukumran Ko Lazim Hai Ke Woh Hukumran Hi Rahe, Naa Ke Kisi Aur Ki Kathputli Ban Ke Rah Jaye”.
SANAA REHMAN, DODA
Q: Why boys are too much interested in watching cricket as compared to girls?
A: Your view point seems to have been based on either hear-say and that could be your individual opinion, because not the boys but girls are more interested may be less in the game of cricket but more in players in one way or the other. This fact can be established by asking any girl about her favourite cricket star and in no time would come the reply naming any promising or established player of cricket.
PAARAS KOTWAL, DODA
Q: No body can give you freedom, none can give you equality, justice or anything. If you are a man, you can take it. How far do you agree?
A: Your assertion is very much true, because the right must be snatched, if not properly accorded upon you. It is very simple that when you don’t get what you deserve, then you are required to open up all vistas available to you to strive for getting your rightful due at any cost.
MUNEESHA KUMARI, JAMMU
Q: A smile is a curve that can set a lot of things straight. Comment?
A: A silent lip may avert many a problems cropping up, but the smile is a curve of lips that could address various problems at a stretch.
YOGESHWAR SHARMA, JAMMU
Q: Even when she loves very much, but at the same time she is not agreeing to any proposal. Despite an affairs of over four years, she has not given any response. What should one do?
A: If she has not responded positively for atleast four years, this is a time period enough to understand that no positive response would emerge out from her. It would be better to beat the retreat for you at least.
GAZI SYEED BUKHARI, GOOL
Q: Several higher authorities of Jammu and Kashmir Government had promised the people of Gool a degree college and the requisite land was also selected, but the far flung area of Gool was once again ignored. What should the hapless people of the area do?
A: The people have a triumph card, which they should use at the time of casting their vote at the time of election which are not far away and bring out a true representative of their area who could safe guard their interests in the Government.
RAJESH MANHAS, KASTIGARH
Q: Why most of the girls want to marry cricketers like Yuvraj and Dhoni, while there are many players of the game in Indian cricket squad?
A: There is no ban on dreaming to have a moon or for that matter any other star for girls, because the boys also dream of having a nuptial knot with various Bollywood actresses. But in actual nothing happens in practical. One should take such issues in a lighter way and dispose of the things before these start making or taking ground.
VEENU PANDIT, NAGROTA
Q: Do you believe in astrology? I know according to you man has to believe in his/her own power and potential. Endorse your view point?
A: Astrology is a science which has withstood the time of tests since its inception and is still more pronounced even today, but is practiced by true professionals, otherwise those having a little knowledge come out to bring forecasts about the things to happen which in actual don’t happen at all.
DEEPAK SINGH, JANIPUR
Q: Sweetest part of life is to carry all the memories if life, but toughest part is to say good bye to person, who is behind these memories. Comment?
A: Saying good bye (for ever) has never been taken lightly by any civilized society, because if we, instead of saying good bye state that we are parting to meet again, it sounds better, but Good Bye sounds like never meeting again. In Indian ethos it used to be said that “Jaa Kar Aata Hoon”, which beholds the hope of meeting again unlike Good Bye for ever. And there lies the difference of civilizations.
ASHRAF KATOCH, PARISTAN
Q: Our National Game Hockey has now become a shame. Why don’t IHF take any concrete steps to improve the game. Please answer?
A: The Indian Hockey Federation has all along been making efforts, but for the luke warm response from the authorities of IHF towards taking the national game to its heights that people have started looking towards cricket. Since IHF is economically starved as compared to assets of BCCI, the game is not getting its due by the countrymen, which is shameful for all of us (Indian people).
MUNEESHA KUMARI, JAMMU
Q: A politician is the person who shakes hand before election and our confidence after. How far do you agree?
A: Your view point is true because at the time of election the politicians not only shake hand but promise moon to the voters, but after winning the election, they are and they should be considered as “no more”, because none fulfills promises made to the people before elections and perhaps may not recognize when ever you confront them.
BRAHM S KATOCH, JAMMU
Q: Best things come in small packages. Do you agree?
A: I fully subscribe your view point, because I have observed this phenomenon in my personal life. I had nothing in my chest and then a boom came in my life which changed my life-style over-night.
FAIZAN TRAMBOO, DODA
Q: Why breaking of a mirror is considered as un-lucky?
A: The breaking of a mirror, as we all know, can be an accident. Hence we should not give much credence to such small things which often occur in our life.
KOSHAL KOTWAL, JAMMU
Q: The end game of luxury is status and recognition. Do you believe in it or not?
A: I don’t fully subscribe to your view point, because the end game of luxury and status ends up with an urge of getting more and more wealth may be from any quarters, because this urge starts when one is well worth to meet his both ends meet with a scope of heavy savings. Once you save one lakh, the quest begins for 10 lakh and after that the quest becomes un-ending and still after that the quest remains.
J K KAUL, JAMMU
Q: In this coming year will Jammu and Kashmir State become number one state in each and every sphere in India?
A: Jammu and Kashmir State has all the pre-requisite for becoming the best State of india, but for one thing I am doubtful and that is the “Corruption”.
RAMA GUPTA, BISHNAH
Q: In the present era the people holding important positions have developed inconsiderateness to their conscience. They pretend that every thing is right. Don’t they have any idea of the law of the land and action and reactions as an aftermath of their overt and covert actions?
A: When the things seems going smooth in all direction, a person may deviate from the right path and thus resort to malpractices with a notion that his actions won’t be noticed or taken care of in the times to come. And this the time when commits glaring mistakes and crimes, which after detection lands the said person to of no where except under the jaws of law of land.
