The sun had set and the lamp put out,
For queen of night was on a one on one bout.
The jointed apartment shone in moon light,
As serenity and calmness showed all the plight.
The scattered hay had been the bed of the weary,
Who were the inmates working all day hardly.
Sleeping were the children wearing rags and clouting,
Their face was relieved as they had never gone for flouting.
Peace was the treasure their dwelling had in abundance,
Happiness filled your heart when you took a glance.
They were pale but did not feel so,
As their zeal could make a mare go.
They were poor no doubt, but were still rich,
A good night's sleep is the thing many people are after which.

A: Your question equating the life with the game of cricket is very much appreciable, because like the uncertainties in the game of cricket, as none is sure about the what to talk of span of years to spend in life, one is not sure to take another breath after taking one. In the game of cricket only 11 ‘RIGHT’ balls are required to eliminate a team. Same is the scheme of things in the case of life. You inhale a deep breath, but are not sure to even exhale it, because the UMPIRE sitting above is not the third but FOURTH Umpire or to say FATHER REFEREE, whose writ runs always that too without any appeals.

A: Its answer is very simple. For one compulsion or the other if you tame a lion and groom it well with an aim at some soft targets. As long as you provide soft lamb mean to lion, it would get fattened, but when you don’t provide the lion the soft targets, then the tamed lion is bound to eat up your own vitals and that is what is happening in these countries as of now.

Q: Various campaigns have been launched to promote tourism by Government of India. Do you think such campaigns should have also been launched to promote education in India?
A: Your question revolves around in-side and out-side issue but is of paramount importance. Promotion of tourism in the country is necessary because it brings foreign investment thus catering to the economic development of the concerned areas in particular and the country in general. But at the same time the Central Government which has so far relied on Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan should concentrate on making appointment of teachers on permanent basis instead of appointing well qualified candidates as SSA teachers on a meager salary thus scoffing at their higher qualifications. If the Government resort to such mean tactics, what would be the future of coming India can well gauged from this action of the Government.

A: Star scopes are not available in any general store but are required to be purchased on order through particular agencies whose advertisements are quite often published in National Dailies, because these are supplied on subsidized basis to only a selected few who are scholars of the subject. Not all but a few persons in Jammu have purchased these star-scopes, but through the open market but through some specified agencies.

A: These are not the things, but the element of belongingness present in them that makes us happy and if that element of belongingness is absent, we may feel lonely even the crowd of millions of people. All one is required to acquire is the element of belongingness and then everything would be alright.

Q: As per my view point co-education has some draw-backs. In the first place male of the species find it hard to concentrate on studies in the presence of female students. The free inter-mixing of students of either sex at the age of puberty was bound to sexual misconduct. Comment?
A: Your perception about co-education may be right, but you should bear in mind that a person longs more for such things which are barred for him. Co-education in my view point is prevalent the world over since long and it has been well accepted in India with encouraging results.

A: Uninterrupted power supply that too in Jammu and Kashmir seems very difficult, because even if all its water resources are tapped and transmission and distribution would continue to pose problems. And who knows that when new hydraulic projects would start functioning the existing may become obsolete and rendered non-functional like Chenani Project in Udhampur district.
