SRINAGAR, Sept 22: Keeping every body guessing in the party, BJP national general secretary incharge Jammu and Kashmir, Ram Madhav who arrived on two days tour of the State at Srinagar yesterday, cut short his visit by flying to Union Capital, New Delhi this morning from Srinagar instead of visiting Jammu as per his earlier programme.
According to Party sources, Ram Madhav took a last minute decision this morning after meeting the State Governor, N N Vohra at Raj Bhawan Srinagar and flew to New Delhi instead of visiting Jammu and meeting the BJP leaders in winter capital surprising every body in his party.
Madhav had reached Srinagar yesterday on two days visit of the State to discuss the prevailing political situation, functioning of the coalition and take the stock of the other issues in the trouble -torn State. He was scheduled to visit Jammu today and meet the party leaders here also to discuss the prevailing situation with them but he changed his plan at last minute and returned to Union Capital instead of visiting Jammu this morning.
BJP sources said they didn’t know the exact reason of Madhav to change the programme as the party leaders were waiting to meet him at winter capital as he was scheduled to visit here today as per his tour itinerary.
Sources said the reason for Madhav’s sudden decision to change the plan to visit Jammu was mostly due to failure of senior leaders of the State to visit Srinagar yesterday and discuss the party issues and functioning of the coalition Government with him there.
Sources said Madhav is the incharge of the State and he looks after the matters of Government as well as Ministers and not that of organizational issues. He had to meet the Ministers basically to review their performance and take a feed back from them on the functioning of the Government, progress on Agenda of Alliance (AoA), developmental projects under progress etc and he did this exercise at Srinagar yesterday. After completing his task he decided to return to Union Capital instead of visiting Jammu, sources added.
