JAMMU, Sept 28: Maintaining that coalition Government in the State shall complete its full tenure,   BJP national general secretary and incharge J&K, Ram Madhav today cautioned the party leader in Jammu and Kashmir not to make unwanted statements in public or even upload controversial matter on social networking sites.
“Keep patience and don’t make unwanted statements or upload controversial material on the social networking sites, which can invite embarrassment to the coalition Government,” he said while   addressing the State BJP office bearers, Morcha presidents and district Prabharis, during a closed door meeting, here today.
The meeting discussed present situation in the State besides taking stock of the ongoing programmes of the party at different levels as also the working of coalition Government in the State.
Making it clear that BJP would ensure this coalition Government completes its full term in Jammu and Kashmir, Ram Madhav strictly told the party leaders to discuss shortcomings of the alliance, if any, at internal forum and not in open.
“Even if someone feels that Jammu is being ignored in respect of development or in any specific sector, he can give suggestions for the remedial measures but all this must be discussed at internal forum without going public,” he said.
However, the BJP national general secretary hastened to add that the party would not make any compromise on the nationalism and Jammu will remain on its priority because of the huge mandate given by people of this region to the saffron party. “We got mandate from here and PDP from Kashmir and this is obvious that both the parties will prefer to cater to their respective bastions where they got maximum public  support,” he explained in the meeting, which was also attended by BJP national vice-president  J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, State BJP president, Sat Sharma, State general secretary  (organization) Ashok Koul  and  MP Jugal Kishore besides others.
“Coalition Government in the State was formed to honour the mandate of the people  despite ideological difference and it is indeed a matter of satisfaction that both the parties are working in unison  to fulfill the promises made to the people,” Ram Madhav added.
Asking the party leaders to work for strengthening the nationalist forces in the State so that the elements working against the integrity of the country are defeated, Ram Madhav claimed that India would not forget the Uri attack,  which claimed precious lives of 18 Army jawans.
The BJP leader also hoped that ongoing turmoil in the Valley  would end soon as 95 percent Kashmiris want restoration of normalcy for peace and development. ” Only handfuls of disruptive elements are creating trouble on the instance of Pakistan and separatists, who now stand exposed before the international community,” he said.
BJP national vice-president and J&K Prabhari,  Avinash Rai Khanna, while speaking in the meeting, said that social service is the best mean to get associated with the public. He said that the party activists have to devote more time in reaching the masses and educate them about the projects like Swachch Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Bacho Beti Padao, Namami Ganga and make it a public movement.
Sat Sharma appreciated the efforts of party leaders and activist in Kashmir who have been raising the nationalism and not compromising despite threats.
Ashok Koul  briefed the meeting about the working of 19 departments and 10 projects of the party which has been constituted with the motive of involving more and more activists in different fields and also help the people to get accurate information related to various welfare schemes and projects of the Governments at the Centre and in the State.
