‘Made in Pak’ shirts, I Com set seized from slain fidayeens

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Mar 29: Security forces have established direct hand of Pakistan in pushing four fidayeens into the Indian territory from the Line of Control (LoC), all of whom were killed at village Soudra in Sunderbani tehsil of Rajouri district yesterday. All the four were wearing `Made in Pakistan’ shirts.
Official sources told the Excelsior that before burial of the militants, which was held at Manjakote in Rajouri district instead of Sunderbani due to people’s refusal to bury the Pakistani militants in their town, the security agencies carried out detailed searches of the militants and found mark of  ‘Made in Pakistan’ on the shirts of two militants.
“This established that the militants were Pakistanis and had been pushed into this side by the Pakistani troops for carrying out terror attacks by targeting security installations,” sources said, adding that the authorities this time didn’t refer the matter to the External Affairs Ministry for taking up bodies of the militants by Pakistan Embassy as they were Pakistanis beyond any doubt.
On previous occasion, Pakistan had refused to take the bodies of their three fidayeens, who were gunned down by the Army inside Sunjuwan military station, near Jammu City on February 10-12 after an attack on the camp in which six security personnel and a civilian were killed.
“In view of previous request being turned down, we didn’t offer the bodies of slain militants to Pakistan this time,” sources said, adding taking situation into consideration, authorities shifted bodies of militants to Manjakote in Rajouri district and buried them there as people of Sunderbani didn’t allow burial of Pakistani terrorists in their tehsil.
It may be mentioned here that people in Samba had also refused to allow burial of three fidayeens killed inside Sunjuwan military station. They too were then buried in Rajouri district.
Sources said police have recovered one I Com set from the slain militants, who were not carrying any mobile telephone or Global Positioning System (GPS) with them. The I Com set has been sent for de-coding to ascertain more details about the militants.
Earlier during the day, security forces called off area sanitization operation at the site of Wednesday’s encounter in Sunderbani area.
After killing all the four terrorists on Wednesday evening, a major area-sanitization operation was started by Rajouri police in coordination with other security agencies and a team of police.
During the area sanitization, one square kilometer area of the encounter site was put to searches and frisking to ensure that no militant, arms, ammunition or any other belonging is left behind and after clearance, area sanitization was called off on this evening.
Arms and ammunition along with other belongings recovered from the group of four militants included four AK rifles, 18 AK magazines, four Improvised Explosive Devices, 4 pouches, 3 bags, 250 AK rounds, 2 radio sets, 6 hand grenades, some medicines, 8 cells, a torch, one lighter, two thin ropes, two glove pairs, a plastic bottle, two hand watches, one chocolate, an ear phone, one pen and some eatables.
Pertinent here to mention that searches by forces in several villages of Sunderbani were going on since March 24 after reports of some suspicious movements and militants were finally trapped in cordon yesterday early morning in Rawadiya Talla in Soudra locality near Sunderbani town and in day long well coordinated and clean operation by Army, police and BSF, all four militants, who were fidayeen were neutralized.
