LWWS presents ‘Meri Maa’

JAMMU, May 20: Lalded Women Welfare Society (LWWS) today presented a motivational Nukkad play “Meri Maa” under Saturday series.
The play was written by Suraj Narayan and directed by Naveen Pal.
The story of the nukkad play ‘Meri Maa’ revolves around a very poor labour family. Nattu is a young child whose father dies in an accident and his mother is so weak and feeble that she cannot do any work and is totally dependent on her son. Nattu himself is too young to fend for himself what to speak of taking care of his mother. So he decides to seek survival by begging. While Nattu tries to beg a person approaches him and suggests that he should not go for begging and instead start hard work and that he would help him in furthering his studies. Nattu agrees to that and starts part time job in a hotel and continues studying. By the dint of hard work he is not only able to take care of his mother but also completes his studies and gets selected as a Commander in Navy.
The main roles were played by Naveen Pal, Suraj Narayan Rahul, Siya Sen and Santosh Basotra, besides other artists of the Society. The audience fully appreciated the performance of the actors.
