BARAMULLA, Feb 14: Officials of Legal Metrology Department today conducted a surprise inspection of markets in Tangmarg area of the district during which a LPG dealer and two fast-food outlets were fined for violation of norms.
The inspection was carried under the supervision of Assistant Controller Baramulla during which a domestic LPG dealer was fined for overcharging and for not carrying a weighing scale.
The inspecting team also booked a leading Karnataka based milk manufacturing company for violation of Legal Metrology (packaged commodities) Rules 2011. Besides, two renowned fast-food outlets of Tangmarg were also booked for flouting norms.
