LPEF for redressal of clerks’ issue

JAMMU, Apr 30: Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has urged upon the State Government to address the main issue of the clerical cadre employees.
Abdul Majid Khan president of LPEF highlighted various burning demands of the woking class which include enhancement of Medical allowance from existing paltry rate of Rs 300 to at least Rs 1000 in view of steeply rising medicare expenses, revision of minimum daily wage to Rs 400, expeditious regularization of casual and other daily wage working removing negative features contained in SRO 520 by providing them regular grade pay.
Khan extended whole hearted support for removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre employees and others, revision of honorarium of Anganwari workers to at least Rs 10000 per month, clearance of their honorarium and carriage arrears up-to-date expeditiously. He also laid stress upon the Government to allocate adequate fund for the payment of salary/wages to the employees working under new pension scheme, under centrally sponsored schemes like SSA, RMSA, RUSA etc and daily wage workers of all categories every month in time.
