LPEF projects burning issues of employees

JAMMU, Dec 1: All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation (LPEF)  has urged upon the State Government to implement 7th Pay Commission report in the State on the Central pattern and enhance Medical allowance of the employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month.
In a press statement issued here today, Abdul Majid Khan, State president of the Federation,  lauded the decision of the State Government to extend death-cum-retirement gratuity benefit in favour of employees, employed under new pension scheme. Khan claimed that new pension scheme was against the interests of the new working class and especially educated youth of the State.
The veteran trade union leader made a strong plea to the Government to implement 7th  Pay Commission report on the Central Government pattern in the J&K State  and release DA installment due from July 2017, enhance Medical allowance from existing meager rate of Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month in view of steep rise in the Medical expenses, revise rate of minimum daily wage to at least Rs 350. Khan also demanded regularization of all the daily rated/ consolidated workers who have rendered more than seven years of service.
