LPEF demands early implementation of 7th Pay Comm report

JAMMU, Dec 5: State president of Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) Abdul Majid Khan, while addressing a meeting of Federation workers made a strong plea to the Government for implementation of 7th Central Pay Commission’s recommendations in respect of State employees and pensioners.
Federation chief said that employees and pensioners were reeling under the onslaught of steeply rising prices of essentialities of life while State Government was doing nothing to mitigate their hardships, due to which they have become restive and resentful all over the State.
Majid Khan also laid stress on immediate release of due installment of DA from July 2016, enhancement in Medical Allowance to Rs 1000, minimum daily wage rate to Rs 350 and making remunerations of village guards at par with minimum daily wage in vogue in the State.
He also called upon all the units of the Federation to intensify struggle for early redressal of their demands.
