LPEF, clerical body flay Govt on joining of duty

JAMMU, Sept 17: All J&K Low Paid Govt Employees Federation (LPEF) and Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association has criticized the Government for its order forcing employees to resume duty in Kashmir and not providing adequate support to the Move employees in Kashmir in the time of crisis.
LPEF president Abdul Majid Khan strongly criticized the Government for its strict instructions to employees for joining duty in Kashmir at the time when most parts of Srinagar city are submerged in flood water. He said there is no connectivity, more over there is no accommodation and food to eat. He said even those employees trapped there are facing lot of hardships. The Government has failed to protect them and provide accommodation and food. The employees need proper attention at Srinagar.
Meanwhile, clerical body headed by Babu Hussain Malik has urged upon the Government to come to the rescue of Government trapped in Kashmir. They said the dead bodies of the employees who lost lives in floods be transported through aircrafts to their respective natives places in Jammu, trapped employees and their families be airlifted to Jammu on Government exchequer, immediate relief be provided to the families of those killed in Kashmir floods and a detailed information of Government employees from Jammu region who have been rescued or still missing be provided through media. The employees from Jammu division should not be forced to resume duty in Kashmir till the situation improves.
