NEW DELHI, June 8: Lead prices drifted lower by 0.65 per cent to Rs 167.60 per kg in futures market today as speculators reduced their exposure amid fall in demand at the spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June month declined by Rs 1.10, or 0.65 per cent to Rs 167.60 per kg in business turnover of 729 lots.
On similar lines, the metal for delivery in far-month July contracts shed 95 paise, or 0.56 per cent to Rs 168.30 per kg in 23 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by traders owing to slackened demand from battery-makers in the physical market weighed on lead prices in futures trade. (PTI)
