JAMMU, Mar 23: Lord Mahavira Playway School celebrated its Annual Sports Day in the honour of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev with patriotic fervour, here today.
Aditi Sharma, political leader was the chief guest on the occasion while Nikhil Rasgotra, DySP and SDPO Bakshi Nagar Jammu, Surinder Sharma, Chairman of the School, Madhu Sharma, Principal and Chairman of Nat Manch and Tarun Sharma, Renowned Theater Personality, President &Founder of Nat Manch were the Guests of Honour.
Madhu Sharma presented welcome address, wherein she highlighted the importance of games and sports in students’ life.
The programme began with the flag hoisting and releasing of colorful balloons in the air by all the guests and chief guest followed by a National Anthem song presented by the Tiny-Tots of the School.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that students to excel in academics at par with games & sports and also declared the sports meet open.
The celebrations began with a march past by all classes of the school.
Students participated in various races, athletics and sports activities and the winners of various competitions were awarded with medals and certificates by the chief guest on the occasion.
The piques of the show were the Self Defence techniques & Karate demo presented by students from 1st to 4th class by Seema Anand.
Ranjeet Singh, Mohit Sharma, Ishan Mansotra and Rajinder Singh present the play with beautiful performance.
The sports Day was hosted by Ishan Mansotra.
Principal of the School, Madhu Sharma presented vote of thanks.
