DODA, Aug 26: The locals of Halla Dhara in Education Zone Gundna, staged a protest against shortage of teaching staff and basic infrastructure in the Government Middle School Halla Dhara.
Parents of the school children assembled in the school premises and held protest alleging pitiable condition of the school due to apathy of the School Education Department.
The villagers alleged that there was no proper sitting arrangement for the students who are also deprived of curricular activities and other basic facilities while class rooms are also in bad conditions.
Farid Ahmed Naik, a social worker, said that there are five staff members posted in the school but only two of them were attending their duties and that too occasionally with the result that studies of students were badly suffering.
“There are 41 students in the school, which remains closed during rains because the building is unsafe and may collapse any time,” claimed another local and alleged that the Education Department was playing with the lives of their children and despite repeated requests to the concerned ZEO, CEO, no action was taken to improve the condition of School.
“We will take to road if the Education Department does not redress our school related issues,” they warned.
