LJP slams continuous shutdowns in valley

SRINAGAR, Dec 7:  Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) has expressed concern over the continuous shutdowns and closure of educational institutes in Kashmir valley and slammed National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah for his alleged double speak.
Addressing a press conference here the LJP national spokesperson and incharge Kashmir Affairs, Sanjay Saraf said the five month long strike in Valley has destroyed Kashmir economically and resulted in massive economic crunch. He said the people who earn hand to mouth have been severely affected and the transport sector in particular is on the verge of bankruptcy due to pending bank loans.
Saraf said that the Valley’s tourism sector has also been dented due to strikes and people associated with it have been left joble ss. He said keeping away children from pursuing studies is no sensible move and due to closure of schools the future of children is heading towards darkness.
