Little Flower HS wins exhibition match by 19 runs

AKHNOOR, Jan 15: Little Flower High School Akhnoor defeated Navjivan Divyang Cricket Club (NDCC) Akhnoor by 19 runs in the exhibition Cricket match, as part of the ongoing New Year Cricket Cup, being organised by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor, here.
Put into bat, Little Flower High School scored a good total of 163 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Sunil Mangotra top scored with 47 runs, while Rahul Sharma contributed 30 runs to the total. Sumit and Romi also chipped in with 17 and 14 runs respectively. For NDCC, Anil and Shabir took 2 wickets each, while Sunil, Tarsem and Rahul shared one wicket each.
In reply, NDCC scored 144 runs in the allotted 20 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus lost the match by 19 runs. Ravi top scored with unbeaten 48 runs, while Anil Sharma and Deepak contributed 31 runs each. Nikhil Jamwal and Manik claimed one wicket each from Little Flower High School.
The match was officiated by Deepak Mangotra and Suresh Kumar, while Anil Mangotra was the scorer.
The exhibition match was organised by SCC Akhnoor under the overall supervision of Kr Sham Singh Langeh, President of the Club.
Handicapped players from Akhnoor and adjoining areas participated in Nav Jivan Sewa Sangathan team under the guidance and management of Sunita Sewak and Ajay Sharma.
Suraj Rathore, Principal Govt Higher Secondary School Akhnoor was the chief guest on the occasion.
