Lions Club Samba adopts 50 Veer Naries, their families

SAMBA, Sept 26:   Lions Club Samba organised a function at Zila Sainik Board Office here, today. During the function Lions Club adopted 50 Veer Naries under the presidentship of Vikas Sharma President Lions Club Samba. The people of Samba have been on forefront in giving the supreme sacrifices for the nation. It was felt that our citizens should come forward to give the moral support to Shaheed Parivars by adopting these families. This gesture would be a tribute by the nation for the sacrifices made by our brave hearts of Indian Armed Forces.
The function was presided over by Mamta Singh, a social activist and attended by Veer Naries, Ex -Servicemen (ESM) Cell of BJP, members of Lions Club Samba,  DC Samba Sheetal Nanda , Brig Anil Gupta (ESM Cell BJP) Brig Harcharan Singh , Director Rajya Sainik Board and Col. SS Pathania Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Samba ,Jangbir Singh Chiku president BJP district Samba amongst others.
While addressing, Director RSB Harcharan Singh said that such events are planned to be conducted in all the districts with the active support of NGOs /Citizens. He added that though Government is looking after martyrs’ families financially, there is requirement to guide the children of martyrs to choose a suitable profession. He thanked the senior veterans who are motivating citizens to look after the Shaheed Parivars.
Mamta Singh said in her address that efforts of the Sainik Welfare Department and assured support of the Government for the martyrs families  /ESM. She also appreciated the positive role of Lions Club Samba under the presidentship of Vikas Sharma towards Veer Naries. In last she appealed to the civil society and other organisations to adopt more Veer Naries for their well being.
Vikas Sharma president Lions Club said that the organisation always comes forward for the moral support of Veer Naries and their families and today “we have adopted 50 Veer Naries and their families”, he added.
