LOS ANGELES, Feb 22: Filmmaker Richard Linklater has directed an ad in which he has slammed the transgender bathroom bill in Texas.
Taking pot-shots at Texas Privacy Act, the “Boyhood” director has urged Texan citizens to have their say by taking a seat in the new advertisement, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Also known as SB6, the proposed law would dictate which bathroom transgender people can use, regardless of their gender identity.
Through the ad, Linklater and the ACLU of Texas, for which the project has been helmed, argue that the SB6 bill is discriminatory. (PTI)
