JAMMU, May 5: Delhi Public School (DPS) Leh conducted Inter-House Athletic Meetin the School grounds today, wherein four Houses comprising the students from classes 6th to 12th participated enthusiastically and energetically.
The Meet started by lighting of the traditional torch by the School Principal, followed by the Group songs presented by the four Houses of the School.
The Meet included 100 meters sprint and 200 meters race only.
In junior category, Stanzin Dawa, Irfan Ali and Manan Manzoor (All Gandhi House) claimed 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively in 100 meters sprint, while Zehran of Bhagat House, Mohd Yousuf of Tagore House and Padma Lotus of Bhagat House got 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in 200 meters boys category race respectively, while Padma Ladol of Bhagat House, Sakina Khatoon of Tagore House and Tsering Dolker of Bhagat House claimed 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in 200 meters girls respectively.
In senior category 200 meters boys, Ghulam Hussain of Gandhi House, Mohd Shoaib of Nehru House and Stanzin Jigmet of Gandhi House got 1st , 2nd and 3rd place, while in girls category, Jigmet Chuzin of Nehru House, Maksuma Khatoon of Tagore House and Yasmin Kausar of Tagore House got 1st , 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
School Principal, Subhash Kumar Baldotra distributed citations and medals among the winners.
