Legislative Assembly adjourned due to pandemonium

SRINAGAR :  Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (LA) was today adjourned without taking any question during the Question-Hour due to pandemonium.    However, in between the Question-Hour, speaker Mubarak Gul allowed members of opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and ruling National Conference (NC) to raise the issue of land grabbing in south Kashmir.
Immediately, after the House assembled all the opposition members were on their feet demanding that they should be allowed to raise some important issues.    Speaker allowed PDP members to speak, including Deputy Speaker Sartaj Madni whose name also figured in the list of land grabbers in Anantnag.

However, when the speaker took up the first question of the day after he gave his ruling directing the Crime Branch to conduct inquiry and present the records of land grab before the Question-Hour tomorrow, the NPP and BJP members and Er Rashid were again on their feet.    The first question of Peer Afaq Ahmad was taken up and minister also replied but nothing was heard in the din.    Later, Speaker adjourned the House for ten minutes and assembled again after the Question-Hour was over.
