JAMMU, Feb 12: On fourth day of “Veda Gyan Saptah” guest lecture was delivered in PG Department of Sanskrit University of Jammu, by Prof Parshotam Sharma, HoD Sanskrit JU on the topic “Knowledge of Vedantas”.
In his lecture, Prof Sharma explained that Vedanta means essence of Vedas. Vedanta is the subject which explains and describes about the need of Vedas and gives a clear conclusion, he said, adding that if one can understand the theme of Vedanta and imply it in daily life, everything then appears as supreme self, there disappears sorrow and infinite supreme bliss flows continuously.
During the lecture, staff members, scholars, students and other society members were present.
Later, Prof Sharma was honoured by Dr Baldev Chand and Dr Peeyoosh Bala, senior members of the Academy.
