LEH, Dec 6: Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) General Council Members unanimously re-elected LBA President Tsewang Thinles as President to lead the Buddhist apex organization.
However, PT Kunzang and Rinchen Namgyal have been elected as Vice President, Sonam Dawa from Nobra as general Secretary and Tsering Angchok from Ney village as Joint Secretary.
A month long search process by LBA youth wing covering all region of Ladakh including Nobra, Chagthang, Zanskar, Sham and Stot region comes to an end with the formation of new body who will elect the women wing and youth wing in few days from now.
The LBA consists of the Parent body, the Youth Wing and the Women’s Wing with its units at villages’ level to address local issues. These units facilitate and work closely with the community heads and their own village representatives as well as their women and youth groups.
