JAMMU, Sept 28: The Central Government today approved inter-cadre deputation of IAS officer Dr Raghav Langer from Uttarakhand to Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Raghav, a native of Jammu, is a 2009 batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre.
His inter-cadre deputation has been approved for a period of three years.
Dr Raghav Langer has held various district assignments in the past including the crucial posting as District Magistrate/ Deputy Commissioner Rudraprayag, ensuring coordinated efforts of various agencies for disaster reconstruction & rehabilitation works to restart Shri Kedarnath Yatra post June, 2013 Himalayan tsunami that wrecked the State.
He is currently posted as Additional Secretary to Government, Drinking Water & Sanitation, Project Director of flagship Namami Gange Program & CEO PMGSY
He is son of Dr J G Langer, retired Professor of Surgery and younger brother of Dr Raja Langer, Urologist, SSH Jammu.
