LEH, (LADAKH) June 29: The Lamdon Senior Higher Secondary School Leh has dedicated a newly built multipurpose hall in memory of 19th KG Bakula Rinpochey as a token of gratitude to the great leader of Ladakh who had given the land for Lamdon to establish the entire school complex at Takskithang.
In this context, a grand dedication ceremony was held at Lamdon yesterday under the chairmanship of Jhado Rinpochey, Ex-Abbot of Namgyal Monastery in which Executive Councilor, Health, Gyal P Wangyal, MLA Leh, Nawang Rigzin Jora, MLC, Chering Dorjey, heads of religious, social and political organization and a galaxy of prominent personalities, members of Lamdon Social Welfare Society, teaching fraternity and students participated.
Highlighting the great contributions of late KG Bakula in the field of education particularly for Lamdon School and the entire Ladakh in general, the Principal, Ishey Tondup in his welcome address said what Lamdon has so far achieved with producing a number of bureaucrats and civil servants of different levels who are presently engaged in the progress of Ladakh, State and the country was a result of late Bakula’s blessing who had generously offered the land for Lamdon and encouraged Lamdon to move forward on the path of quality education.
Jhado Rinpochey termed Bakula Rinpochey as a great spiritual leader and a tall philosopher having broad knowledge in Buddhist medicines and astrology too. Dedicating this beautiful hall in memory of KG Bakula is a true tribute to the departed spiritual leader, Jhado Rinpochey said and praised Lamdon School’s great services in building the society with quality education.
Gyal P Wangyal said that tagging this multipurpose hall with late Bakula’s name would certainly draw attention of younger generation about our great leader and inspire them to become contributors for Ladakh’s development and prosperity.
Nawang Rigzin Jora termed Lamdon as an unparalleled school, fully dedicated to the society with all the values and qualities of education. He made a special mention of visionary works of Ishey Tondup that has taken Lamdon at the highest educational level in the region.
Chering Dorjey Lakrook mentioning the year’s long KG Bakula centenary celebration said that it has vastly helped younger generations of Ladakh to know about Bakula Rinpochey.
