Lal Singh for promoting regional flavor in talent shows

JAMMU, Jan 28: Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, Chowdhary Lal Singh today advocated promotion of regional culture and traditions in the talent shows to preserve the State’s age old legacy and identity.
“Jammu and Kashmir is blessed with diverse cultures and tradtions besides superb young talents who can promote this legacy of the state through their performances”, the Minister asserted.
The Minister was speaking at the mega dancing event ‘Samara’-7th State dancing event organized by Natraj Studios here today in which young talents enthralled the audience with their mesmerizing performances.
The Minister congratulated the Natraj Studios for their outstanding choreography besides fusion classical, Hip-Hop, Zumba and Ghost performances which added a blend of uniqueness to the dance event.
Lal Singh said the government has initiated a number of measures to support and promote talent. He added that it is the Govt’s firm commitment to encourage the state’s artists at all levels enabling them to compete at national and international levels.
The Minister emphasized the need of creating a strong partnership among the teachers and parents to nurture the students’ talent in a better way.
Later, the Minister distributed mementoes among the participants.
