KATHUA, May 12 : Member Parliament Udhampur-Doda Constituency Ch Lal Singh convened a public grievance redressal camp at village Kalowa near Mahanpur of tehsil Basohli.
ADDC Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal, Executive Engineers of PWD, PMGSY, Tehsildar Basohli, and other Tehsil Level officers were also present on the occasion.
Deputataions from  Kalowa, Sulari, Bhanode, Palail and adjoining Panchayats put forth their demands before the Member Parliament which were mainly related to  provision of drinking water, road connectivity, up gradation of school, shortage of school staff etc. Other demands projected by the people includes construction of check dam and lift irrigation scheme for Kalowa panchayat and provision for   veterinary sub- centre.
MP Lal Singh gave patient hearing to the problems and demands projected by the people during the camp. Mr. Singh called upon the people to remain united and play their decisive part in nation building. He said with the active support of people the PRIs are being strengthened and making landmark contributions in the development.
He said the elected PRIs representatives have a vital duty to take up the concerns of the people at appropriate forums. He exhorted upon the people to come forward to reap the benefits of schemes especially designed to meet the aspirations of the Jammu & Kashmir people. He appealed the educated unemployed youth to avail the benefits of self employment schemes launched by both Central and State Governments.
Ex MLA Kanta Andotra also spoke on the occasion.
