Lal Singh assures full support to West Pak refugees

KATHUA, May 15: The West Pakistani Refugee organized a rally here today in support of their demand of permanent residents’ status and compensation for the loss of property suffered by them. The rally was led by its president Labha Ram Gandhi.
The former Minister, Ch Lal Singh also participated  in the rally and addressed the large gathering . While addressing, Ch Lal Singh criticized the previous governments of ignoring the West Pakistani refugees living in the State over 50 years. He said it is unfortunate that they were not given the rights so far. Even the Rohinigyas and Bangladeshis are living in the State and no one opposes their residential status.

He said that he was fighting for their rights of refugees since years and their issues were also highlighted in Parliament. But the past deaf and dumb Governments did not bother for it. He said the former PM Manmohan Singh was also Pakistani refugee. But he has good luck that he has take shelter in Punjab. Otherwise he never been the citizen of J&K, if he takes shelter in J&K like other hundreds of West Pakistani are facing the worst situation.
He has also sought the support of West Pakistani refugees to make successful the Dogra Swabiman rally going to be taken from Lakhanpur to Hirangar on May 20. He said that the Dogras of Jammu are facing the same problems as the Pakistani refugee are facing. The difference is that we have PRC and you are without PRC. But the problems are same as we are also fighting for justice and demanding inquiry from the CBI in Rassana Tribal girl murder mystery case.
“But no one is here to listen us since last three months”.  “The image of Dogras is presented like rapists or criminals in the country which will not be tolerated at all”. The Dogras Swabiman rally is taken out to get justice from State Government, he added.
