Lahan, illicit liquor destroyed

KATHUA, Jan 2: The sleuths of Excise Department conducted raids in different areas of the district and recovered 700 kilograms of lahan and 20 pouches of illicit liquor.
As per official spokesman, on the directions of the Excise Commissioner Mohammad Javed Khan and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Syed Muried Hussain Shah, the Excise Team Kathua led by ETO Excise Range Kathua, Vikas Anand, Inspectors Excise Arun Kumar and Sanjeev Khajuria along with Excise Guards Balbir Singh and Mohammad Ramzan conducted raids in Chibbachak, Ladhuchak and Banyari areas of the district.
During the raids, the Excise Department sleuths recovered more than 700 kilograms of lahan and 20 pouches of illicit liquor, which was later destroyed.
