JAMMU, May 18: The Excise Department sleuths arrested a lady along with illicit liquor bottles.
As per official spokesman, on the directions of the Excise Commissioner J&K Mohammad Javed Khan and under supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Ghanshyam Singh, the Excise Team Akhnoor led by ETO Excise Range North, Tinna Mahajan and Inspector Excise Sub Range Akhnoor Harish Sharma along with excise staff raided Sungal, Soul, Migrant Camp and lower Jad areas of Akhnoor tehsil.
During raids, more than 200 kilograms of lahan and one working still were destroyed. One lady namely Surinder Kour, wife of late Ravinder Singh was also arrested by the Excise team for possession of illicit liquor bottles and action has been initiated against her under law. The illicit liquor was also destroyed by the Excise team.
