Ladakh MP concludes Zanaskar tour

PADUM, ZANAASKAR Oct 19; After being elected as MP from Ladakh Lok Sabha seat in May this year, Thupstan Chhewang visited the Zanaskar region and interacted with people in various villages and listened their problems.
People of Zanskar valley led by Councillors LAHDC Kargil Tsering Angdus, Phuntsok Tashi and Stanzin Tsering, President Zanskar Buddhist Association Tsewang Chostar, ZBA Youth wing President Stanzin Lhawang, President Zanskar Gonpa Association Ven. Lama Angbo, Sanpanches of all Panchayat Halqas and Mokdams (Nambarders) of Zanskar villages gave a tumultuous welcome to him.
During his five days tour to Zangskar region he interacted with the monks and villagers, inspected all the ongoing developmental status, taken up all measurements of further task and assured for his best services on priority especially to remote and backward villages of Ladakh region.
During his visit to Rangdum people gave him a grand reception and putted up their long standing demands including merging Rangdum under Zanskar Administration, opening of Link road from Kanji to Rangdum, installation of DSPTs at Juldho and Tashistongday, Community Hall constructions, drinking water Lifting system for Rangdum Gonpa, Army security for all weather, prevention of Gujur incursion and other basic amenities. After hearing to people and discussion on their issues MP assured for his best possible services at all levels.
Speaking to people of Rangdum, Thupstan Chhewang stressed on education and unity among the people.
Residents of Rangdum area complimented the MP for visiting the area and dedicating his energy and efforts for the people lives in rural and remote villages of Ladakh region. He further assured to visit again with working results.
In Stod valley villagers while highlighting their demands stressed on speedy Completion of Sankoo to Padum National Highway NH301, making standing BSNL Mobile tower of Manda village functional, creation of Block Head Quarter at Rantaksha, opening of veterinary centers, construction of community halls and other basic amenities.
