Labourer killed in road mishap

KATHUA, Mar 1: One labourer was killed after he was hit by an unknown vehicle near Peer Baba Chak Sajan today here today.
He has been identified as Dev Raj, 40, Son of Giyan Singh. He was going on his routine work when an unknown vehicle hit him and fled leaving him in a pool of blood on road side. He was shifted by the passers by to District Hospital Kathua where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The Kathua police has registered a case under relevant sections of law in this regard and the body was handed over to family after postmortem.
In another hit and run case, mother daughter duo were injured last night after they too were hit by an unknown vehicle in Kathua. They were identified as Asha Rani and her daughter Manu Devi of Ward 3 Krishana Colony Kathua. They were admitted in DH Kathua and their condition is stated to be out of danger. The Kathua police has registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law.
