Laboratory Technicians highlight demands, support dharna

JAMMU, Oct 18: Highlighting their demands, the Jammu Kashmir Laboratory Technician Employees Association, Jammu, has extended support to the day-long protest dharna by Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation on October 24.
While talking to media persons, here today, JKLTA president Ch Aslam Bhai appealed the State Government to redress the long pending issues of Laboratory Technicians in particular and health employees in general, who are working round the clock for making health services up to the mark.
Atul Nagar, general secretary JKLTA, highlighted the Association’s demands, which include; clearing the pending DPC of Laboratory Technicians, Risk Allowances for Laboratory Technicians, creation of additional posts i.e Junior, Senior Supervisor Laboratory Technicians along with Blood Bank Technician (Senior & Supervisor – District wise) and Assistant Serologist (District wise), amendment of SRO -20 at the earliest.
Extending full support to the one day protest dharna by Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation on October 24 at Shashi Bala Memorial Park, Directorate of Health Services Complex Jammu, Ch Aslam Bhai urged all the Laboratory Technician working in the region to join the agitational program.
Prominent amongst others, who attended the press conference, included Anwar Hussain, Naveen Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Pardeep Bhagat, Sanjit Singh, Sunil Kumar, Alka Sharma, Pawan Kumar and others.
